In 1980 left East Texas to dance professionally in NYC. She did so notably with Kathryn Posin, after which she created two dance companies of her own: Carol A.A. Prud’homme and “us” Productions.
In 1996, Carol created and supervised the first free arts education after school with The After school Corporation (TASC).
She has ‘live’ drawn over 200 professional dance companies, choreographers and teachers, while also ‘live’ drawing NYC subway and street activity since 2009.
In 2013, Ms. Prud’homme Davis’s art became the first permanent art collection in the American Contemporary Dance Museum.
Carol has exhibited at the Garth Greenan Gallery’s Janet Panetta Legacy Exhibition, the American Contemporary Dance Museum, Infinity Dance Theatre, The Theater for the New City solo show and the “Persevere” group exhibition, Goddard Riverside, Childhood Unmuted, Spoke the Hub (with Saraika Movement Collective), Visual Aids, and the East Texas Fair. The Anna Sokolow Theatre Dance Company, “Rooms” and Dances We Dance has exhibited her work on their websites.
Her work can be seen on the covers of Marie Paquet-Nesson’s book “A Dancer Writes Haiku” and Richard Maddock’s “Ballet Music for Adagio” record covers.
She is the Executive Director of Inside Change from Within and President of Inside Change Inc. Carol illustrated the Lynn Simonson, «The Simonson Legacy».
